Who Invented the Wheel?

Well, the short answer is; we don’t know. It seems that philosophers, historians, archaeologists, and others have failed to provide an accurate or reliable timeframe for this event. This is no surprise to me because far too often as humans we make far too many assumptions. I could give you an impressive list of examples, but why should I, if I have to convince you, then, you haven’t appreciated the implications of this human infliction or malaise. But, just in case you are one of those doubting Thomases’ who refuse to open their minds here is a link to a story I wrote some time ago.

Back to the main story who invented the wheel? When we make assumptions that this tribe or that ancient civilization hadn’t the capacity or thought for the wheel, because the archaeologists haven’t found any evidence of the use of the wheel; we make a big assumption. Consider the following assumption where we (governments and other organizations) have spent literally copious amounts of money searching for extraterrestrial life by means of the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence Institute) project using large-scale antennae (radio and optical telescopes) and the combined mesh of personal computers from around the world providing the data crunching etc.

The SETI project has been in operation for over 50 years and they haven’t found a signal from another world. This predisposes that the assumption that other intelligence is using radio waves to communicate is correct, but in my view, it’s not very smart. Well, I could give you a lecture on polymorphism and that we don’t all wear the same shoes.

There’s a saying in programming ‘Don’t reinvent the wheel when you don’t have to’ but, it seems most people think the wrong way or the same way and do reinvent. Think this way instead: No water in the desert, no problem:

When you can green the deserts by building desalination plants at the coast and power them with Solar Power Stations ~ Endless Supply and No Waste ~ How Green Are You?

Are you listening,  what are you dreaming?

As Jesus said, “Belief is everything.”

In my book “It’s Never Too Late” read how dreams do come true, but be careful what you wish for. Understand the secret of greed and you will attain one of the secrets of prosperity. The book will also take you on a journey and explore love, money, luck, and much more.
